Winters here are mild: daytime temperatures average around 16 °C from December through February, so it’s a great place to stay not just for a week, but for a month or longer. According to the Calpe Tourist Office, the area enjoys about 3,180 hours of sunshine per year and only 44 cloudy days. The sea is cool in winter, so few people swim in it, but the weather is nice for walks along the water’s edge.

Things to Do in Winter
- Climb Peñón de Ifach. The Ruta Roja trail leads to the summit. You’ll need to make an online reservation on the nature park’s website: a maximum of 300 people per day year-round; reservations can be made no earlier than 9 days in advance. Bring hiking boots and water. The ascent past the tunnel is not recommended for people under 18, or in rain or fog.
- Take a walk along the boardwalks at Arenal-Bol and La Fossa beaches.
- Hike the Voramar coastal trails: from the La Manzanera residential area to Arenal-Bol Beach, with views of the coast, or from Calalga Cove to the Les Bassetes marina.
- Explore the old town and the surrounding area of the Costa Blanca.
What Kind of Apartment Is Best for Winter?
For a long-term stay, the priorities are different from those for a week-long vacation. Before booking, be sure to check:
- how the apartment is heated (air conditioner with heating function, space heaters);
- Wi-Fi speed, if you're working remotely;
- Is there a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen?;
- Which way do the windows and the terrace face? A sunny apartment is noticeably warmer in the winter;
- Is there parking available if you're coming by car?
Clubrent’s portfolio includes more than 40 apartments. They are located near the beaches of La Fossa (Levante), Arenal-Bol, and Cantal Roig, near Cala del Morelló, and in the center of Calpe; most are a 2–8-minute walk from the beach or the boardwalk. Most apartment listings include heating and air conditioning, and fiber-optic Wi-Fi is included in the price (some apartments list speeds ranging from 100 to 600 Mbps). For stays of 28 nights or more, the apartments offer a separate “Long-Term Stay” rate.
Long-Term Lease Terms
- Duration: The "Long-Term Stay" rate applies to stays of 28 nights or more. You can stay longer than 3 months: the online booking system accepts reservations for up to 120 nights.
- Price: starting at €1,176 for 30 nights (the lowest price available online for stays from December 2026 through March 2027, verified on November 2, 2026). The price varies depending on the apartment and dates. When booking by the month, the nightly rate is lower than when booking by the week.
- Prepayment and Cancellation: For the “Long-Term Stay” rate—a 20% deposit is required at the time of booking, and cancellations are free of charge if made at least 30 days before check-in.
- Electricity: Included in the price for moderate usage—up to 35 € per week. Usage exceeding this limit is charged at 0.40 € per kWh and deducted from the security deposit.
- Contract: For stays longer than 10 days, a seasonal rental agreement (alquiler de temporada) is signed in accordance with Decree-Law 9/2024 of the Valencian Community.
- Linens and towels: Bed linens, shower towels, and beach towels are included in the price; for stays longer than two weeks, you will receive two sets of bed linens and towels.
- Payment: by credit card via the secure Stripe system or by bank transfer. For payments made by bank transfer, the reservation is confirmed once the funds are received.
- Documents: We will provide a booking confirmation for your visa, invoices, and payment statements.
How to Get to Calpe
The distance from Alicante Airport to Calpe is about 77 km. The ALSA bus (Line 527) runs directly between the two, with a travel time of about 1 hour and 55 minutes. Check the schedule on the ALSA website before your trip. Clubrent arranges transfers from the Alicante and Valencia airports, from the Alicante train station, and from the Calpe bus station to the apartments (for an additional fee).
